Solar dryer, the heat from the sun couple with the wind has been used to dry food crops for preservation for the thousand years. Drying depends upon, temperature, humidity, quality of air used, size of the piece to be dried, physical structure and composition.  Heat is not the only factor which is necessary for drying. The condition, quality and amount of air passed over and through the pieces to be dried. The amount of moisture contained in the air to be used for the drying important and is referred to as relative humidity. There are three basic design in which others are based,(1) cabinet dryer (2) tent dryer (3) tunnel dryer (4) commercial dryer (5) cabinet dryer with ventilator 96) solar cabinet dryer with natural.
There are various fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices can dry in above solar dryer. Our dryer are available different sizes according to requirements. size of solar dryer depends upon how many kg you want to dry and what you want to dry.

Simple solar drying system suitable for different agricultural fresh commodity was evaluated to dry banana pulp. The drying system mechanism was flexible, it was constructed from cheap and available materials (i.e. wood, glass plastic and metals). It composed solar collector, drying chamber and solar chimney and/or blower. The air type solar collector was mounted fixed all the year around at 30°. the drying chamber was flexible to be 0° and 90° with the horizon axis. Simple passive and active designs were followed to enable save energy requirement for fan operating. Banana moisture reduction rate, drying coefficient, of banana and the drying system efficiency were determined. Based on the drying constant the study found that, the horizontal dryer chamber was speeding banana drying over the vertical one for both of active and passive modes within the time of drying for the site and time of investigations. Drying system efficiency for the forced convection was higher for the first day comparing with the following days due to the fast drying in the moisture falling stage.
Here is the procedure of banana drying in solar dryer.
Place the sliced banana on the Dryer in one single layer. According to your dryer instructions and set the timer for about 24 hours. You can check it sooner but bananas usually take a long time to dry.
The slices of banana are ready when they snap easily and don't just bend in the fingers. Leave a few pieces cool first before trying the snap test as it gives a better indication to whether they are ready or not.
For longer storage or places with high humidity, little oxygen remover bags are a handy addition placed in the container or packet – you know, the little plastic pads you sometimes find in packaged foods? You can buy them in bulk and use them at home too for home-made dry food storage.
